Footworks constitution
Footworks operates as a Private Members Association founded by
Joanne Ashton BSc (Hons), MRCPod, HCPC-registered podiatrist.
The purpose of the Association is to provide podiatric assessment, advice, and care within a private, consent-based framework, in accordance with professional standards and clinical judgment.
Care is provided directly by Joanne Ashton, and you remain free to ask questions, discuss treatment options, and make informed choices about your care.
Membership is established when you book and attend an appointment. There is no separate subscription.
Member contributions support and are exchanged for clinical time, professional skill, treatment materials, specialist equipment, and any goods supplied, such as custom orthoses.

Footworks Podiatry is a Private Members Association (PMA)
founded in March 2026 by Joanne Ashton BSc (Hons) MRCPod, HCPC-registered Podiatrist.
1.Purpose
The purpose of the Association is to provide podiatric assessment, advice, and care to its members within a private, consent-based framework, in accordance with professional standards and clinical judgment.
2. Stewardship
The Association is stewarded and operated by Joanne Ashton, who is responsible for: delivery of clinical care maintaining professional standards in line with HCPC and the Royal College of Podiatry oversight of services, facilities, and member experience
3. Membership
Membership is established upon booking and attending an appointment, subject to the following criteria: The individual has feet in need of care. The individual is able to give informed consent to treatment, or is acting on behalf of a child or vulnerable adult in their care Membership is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time.
4. Scope of Care
Care provided within the Association includes, but is not limited to:
Routine & Preventative Care general foot care nail cutting corns and callus
Nail Conditions including ingrowing toenails, fungal nail infections including Clearanail nail treatments, nail surgery
Skin Conditions and verrucae including Swift Microwave Therapy
Biomechanics lower limb or lower back pain pain, custom orthoses and insoles, including 3D print orthoses made here
footwear advice
Urgent / Acute Care painful flare-ups
Guidance with onward referrals
All care is provided within the scope of professional competence and clinical judgment. No guarantee of specific outcomes or cures is made.
5. Member Contributions
Member contributions are exchanged for clinical time, professional skill, treatment materials, and any goods supplied.
A contribution scale may apply depending on: time allocated nature of the service or treatment materials or goods supplied
Contributions support: operation of the clinic and reception equipment purchase, maintenance, and replacement ongoing professional and clinical development provision of custom orthoses and general sustainability of the Association
Some contributions relating to ongoing or advanced services may become non-returnable once treatment has commenced.
Accepted contribution methods may evolve over time, but currently include cash, cheque, and bank transfer.
6. Professional Standards and Records
All care is delivered in accordance with: HCPC standards Royal College of Podiatry guidance Clinical records are maintained as part of professional obligations. Members may request alternative record-keeping preferences where reasonably practicable, including paper-based records.
7. Relationship to Other Healthcare
The Association does not replace the role of a GP or medical specialist. With member consent, communication with other healthcare professionals may occur where appropriate for safe and effective care.
8. Member Responsibilities
Members are expected to: provide accurate and relevant health information attend appointments as agreed or provide appropriate notice of cancellation engage in care decisions through informed consent 9. Limitation of Outcomes While every effort is made to provide high-quality care, outcomes cannot be guaranteed and depend on individual circumstances.
